Great Friends

We had such a fun weekend with friends! Friday Mommy, Daddy, and I went to eat mexican with our neighbors--Kristi & Geoff and their son Alec and Grace & Matt and their daughter Rayna. We had a really good time and are hoping to get together frequently, it's so nice to have friends that live so close! (And I even wore my Pumas to dinner...I looked so cute!!)

Saturday night we went to the Slack's house for dinner and to watch football. Henry, their son, is getting so big and is already a good friend. He got his first haircut on Saturday & looks like a very big boy! I loved hanging out with Chris, Lindsey, Leah, Nick, Anne, and Mitch. Mommy & Daddy's friends are so silly!!

Sunday was our first trip to church and I did great. I slept most of the time & then met a lot of new people after the service. The picture below is of me and Skylar. Her grandmother and Mimi are friends and Mommy and her Mom, Alicia, have become friends because we were born only a week apart! I think we'll have a great time growing up together and playing at church, even though we don't have much interest yet! :)

Slowly but surely...

...I'm getting better at holding my head up. I play on my tummy a lot during the day and work really hard to hold my head up off the ground. It's hard work! And I tried the Bumbo seat a few days ago and did okay, not sure I really like it yet, but I'm giving it time. I can't wait until I can hold my head up full-time & see the world!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Well, today is my 2 month birthday!! Can you even believe it?! Time flies when you're having fun!
I had my 2 month check-up today and did great! I now weigh 14 lbs 9.5 ounces (95% percentile), am 25 3/4 inches long (over 95% percentile), and my head circumference is 41 cm (75% percentile). Unfortunately, I had to get 4 shots and it DID NOT feel good! I cried but as soon as Mommy picked me up, I calmed down. And, I got 2 Snoopy bandaides! :) Thank goodness we don't have to go back to the doctor for another 2 months!

Mommy wants to add a note...
Today is Walker's 2 month birthday. I can't believe he's been in our lives for 2 months, Travis & I have loved every second. The first couple of weeks were definitely a blur but I feel like we've come so far since those days. Walker is smiling at both of us now, really likes his light-up & music toys, and we enjoy our days together. He's even starting to sleep through the night! I think back to 3 months ago when we were still anticipating his arrival, or a year ago when we didn't even know he was going to join our family, and can't imagine our lives without Walker. He has brought such meaning & purpose to our lives. Walker James is such a precious gift from God and it's just amazing that we created this beautiful boy. He is looking more like his Daddy everyday and I am so thankful for that. Not that I wouldn't love for him to keep those blue eyes like his Mommy :), but those long eyelashes are gorgeous! I am in awe of him, it often brings tears to my eyes. What a little miracle.
I don't know what I expected motherhood to be but it's exceeding anything I ever thought. And watching Travis with Walker is the best part of my day, he is such a great dad. I cherish every minute with our family and look forward to the months and years ahead. It's so wonderful to be a family...Travis, Walker, Tigger, and me. I love all three of my boys! God is MORE than good!! Stay tuned for more updates on the Kirkland family...

Say Cheese!!

Here are a couple of shots of me showing off my handsome grin! I love smiling & am doing a lot of it lately. Daddy can make me smile when he whistles and when he bounces me on this legs...I love my daddy! :)

Just a swangin'...

Here are a couple of shots of me in my swing. I really like the music it plays and the animals that hang above my head.

Weekend with the boys

This weekend was so fun! Mommy's friend from college, Sunny, came to visit with her boys Landon & Braxton. They live in Columbia, SC. We went out to dinner on Saturday night & had such a fun time. I can't wait to be big like Landon & Braxton---they had so much fun running around and being silly! I look forward to seeing them again soon!

The last two pictures are some that Mommy took of me. I LOVE my bouncy seat, it makes me smile! And look how big I've gotten in my car seat...Mommy says it's getting heavy too!

On On PC!!

I am so excited to show off my newest item of clothing--my very own Presbyterian College t-shirt!! My Aunt Anne made it for me and I LOVE it! Mommy & Daddy both went to PC and I hope to one day be a Blue Hose!!

Oh, and the middle picture is blurry because I was showing Mommy how I can throw a football! (Notice it's lefty style...)

Go Gators!!

This weekend was my first college football game day! It was so fun--we stayed home and watched the Gators win big over Western Kentucky! And, once again, it was so fun I ended the day asleep. I look forward to watching many more Florida victories with Daddy!

Oh, and I had an even bigger night after the game. I slept through the night for the first time!! It was kind of strange to not see Mommy during the night but I woke up with a big smile! (So did Mommy! :) )
